
Tribune Broadcasting Names Diana-Marie
Howard Vice President/General Manager of WEWB-TV in Albany
CHICAGO, February 19, 2001 --
Diana-Marie Howard, Station Manager at
WEWB-TV (WB45) in Albany, has been named Vice President/General
Manager of the station.
"Diane has done a great job in building
a new station. In less than two years, she has overseen the
establishment of a strong sales force, established a strong
community affairs presence and built a solid program schedule.
WEWB's debut as a WB affiliate has been one of the most successful
launches ever," said Michael Eigner, President, Tribune
Television.
Before being named WEWB station manager in
1999, Howard served as Local Sales Manager of WLVI-TV, Tribune's
Boston station. Previously, she held various managerial positions
at the station, including co-national sales manager and regional
sales manager. She joined Tribune Broadcasting in 1992 as
an account executive for WLVI.
Prior to Tribune, Howard spent more than three
years at W1`ZOU-FM, Boston, as an account executive. Before
that, she served as a media buyer/planner for Houston Advertising,
Boston. From 1984 to 1986, she worked as a junior media buyer
for McCann Erickson, Boston. She began her career at WVJV-TV,
Boston, where she held a variety of positions, including assistant
business manager and traffic manager.
