Agreement with Yahoo!
Tribune Interactive to
provide local news from nine top markets including Chicago,
Los Angeles and New York to Yahoo! News
CHICAGO, February 22, 2001 --
Tribune Interactive, Inc., a leader in
interactive news and information Web sites and a subsidiary
of Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB),
today announced a content agreement with Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq:
YHOO), a leading global Internet communications, commerce
and media company, to provide local news and headlines from
nine Tribune Interactive online newspapers in Chicago, Los
Angeles, New York, Orlando, Baltimore South Florida, Hartford,
Conn., Allentown, Pa., and Hampton Roads, Va., to Yahoo!®
News (http://news.yahoo.com).
Tribune Interactive Web sites supplying the
news and headlines include chicagotribune.com, latimes.com,
newsday.com, orlandosentinel.com, sunspot.net (The Baltimore
Sun), sun-sentinel.com (South Florida Sun-Sentinel), ctnow.com
(The Hartford Courant), mcall.com (Allentown, Pa.'s The Morning
Call) and dailypress.com (Hampton Roads, Va.'s Daily Press).
All stories displayed on Yahoo! News include a link to the
Tribune Interactive Web sites.
