
Tribune Broadcasting Names Vince Giannini
Station Manager of WPIX-TV, New York
CHICAGO, May 31, 2001 -- Veteran
television executive Vince Giannini has been named Station
Manager at WPIX-TV (WB11), Tribune's New York television station.
"Vince's vast knowledge in station operations
as well as his experience at major-market television stations
will make him a valuable asset to WPIX," said Betty Ellen
Berlamino, Vice President/General Manager of WPIX.
As Station Manager, Giannini will be responsible
for accounting, engineering, community affairs and local production.
For the past eight years, Giannini has been Director of Finance
and Administration for KTLA-TV (WB5), Tribune's Los Angeles
station. He was involved with all aspects of the station's
operations including oversight of the operating and strategic
planning process, day-to-day responsibility for the finance
department, negotiation of contracts and serving as project
manager on a building renovation.
Prior to joining KTLA, Giannini was Senior
Financial Analyst for WGN-TV (WB9), Tribune's Chicago station,
from 1990-1993. He started his professional career with Price
Waterhouse after graduating from the University of Illinois.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is
also a Certified Public Accountant.
