Tribune to Present at Media Week Conference
Senior executives recap
results and discuss outlook for 2002

team up for CareerBuilder presentation
CHICAGO, December 3, 2001 -- Tribune
Company (NYSE: TRB) executives
will make presentations at two media conferences this week.
John Madigan, chairman and chief executive officer, Dennis
FitzSimons, president and chief operating officer and Donald
Grenesko, chief financial officer, will review Tribune's 2001
results and discuss the company's outlook for next year at
a conference sponsored by Credit Suisse First Boston. Tribune
and Knight Ridder executives will team up for a presentation
regarding recruitment advertising and the online recruiting
firm CareerBuilder at the UBS Warburg media conference.
Both presentations will take place on Thurs.,
Dec. 6, in New York City. The Credit Suisse First Boston presentation
will take place at the Plaza Hotel at 1:30 p.m. EST (12:30
p.m. CST). The UBS Warburg presentation will take place at
the Grand Hyatt and begin at 8:00 a.m. EST (7:00 a.m. CST).
