CHICAGO, March 11, 2002 -- Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB), today announced a restructuring of the senior management team in its television division, with several key executives assuming new responsibilities. The changes were announced by Pat Mullen, Tribune Television president, and are effective immediately.

Peter Walker, senior vice president/Tribune Television, will now oversee the East Coast and Southern regions of the company's station group, as well as WGN-TV, Chicago, and WGN Superstation. The East Coast stations were previously the responsibility of Michael Eigner, who announced his retirement last week.

John Reardon will add responsibility for KWGN-TV, Denver, to his duties overseeing the West Coast region of Tribune Television.

Joe Young, vice president/general manager of KDAF-TV, Dallas, has been promoted to regional vice president/Tribune Television. He will continue as general manager of KDAF-TV, in addition to overseeing WBZL-TV, Miami, KHWB-TV, Houston, and WGNO-TV/WNOL-TV, New Orleans.

Steve Carver, vice president/general manager WGN-AM Radio, Chicago, has been promoted to regional vice president. In addition to WGN-AM Radio, he will oversee WXIN-TV, Indianapolis, and WXMI-TV, Grand Rapids.

"Tribune has a wealth of outstanding management talent," said Mullen. In addition to KTLA-TV and KWGN-TV, Reardon oversees KSWB-TV in San Diego and KCPQ-TV/KTWB-TV in Seattle. He served as station manager of KTLA-TV from 1992 to 1996, and in sales management at WGN starting in 1985.

Young joined Tribune in 1995 as vice president/general manager of KDAF-TV. Young was vice president/general manager of WXIN-TV, from 1985 to 1995.

Carver was named vice president/general manager of WGN-AM, in March 1998. From September 1999 to December 2001, Carver served as vice president/radio group for Tribune Broadcasting in addition to his current post at WGN-AM.
