Names Mark Krieschen as VP/General Manager of Chicago's WGN-AM

CHICAGO, February 10, 2003 --
Tribune Broadcasting today announced
that long-time radio sales executive Mark Krieschen has been
named vice president/general manager of Chicago’s WGN-AM
Radio. Krieschen succeeds Steve Carver who was today named
vice president/general manager of WATL-TV (WB36), in Atlanta,
Georgia.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
"Mark is more than ready to assume the
top job at WGN," said Carver. "His talent, experience
and tenure at the station will enable him to hit the ground
running and continue the station’s history of success
in one of the most competitive markets in the country."
Krieschen has been director/sales at WGN-AM
since 1998, responsible for increasing revenues for WGN Radio
and the Tribune Radio Network. Prior to that Krieschen spent
ten years as the station’s local sales manager. He joined
WGN in 1985 as an account executive.

A native of Chicago, born December 9, 1957,
Mr. Krieschen holds a bachelor's degree in communication and
fine arts with a concentration in radio and television from
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He is a Certified
Radio Marketing Consultant.

Tribune Broadcasting owns and operates
24 television stations concentrated in major markets and Superstation
WGN on national cable. The acquisition of two additional stations,
KPLR-TV, St. Louis, and KWPB-TV, Portland, Ore., will be completed
