Tribune Names Patrica Hamilton VP/General Manager of WXMI-TV, Grand Rapids

CHICAGO, November 24, 2003 -- Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB) today named experienced broadcast executive Patricia (Patty) Hamilton as vice president/general manager of WXMI-TV (FOX17) in Grand Rapids , Mich. The appointment is effective December 1.

"Patty brings solid Fox affiliate experience and a track record of success to WXMI," said Patrick Mullen, Tribune Broadcasting's president. "She has led successful Fox affiliates in two Midwestern markets as general manager. Her leadership and sales expertise will be a great fit for the winning team at WXMI."

During the last 10 years, Hamilton has held positions of increasing responsibility for Fox affiliates owned by Quorum and Sullivan Broadcasting. Most recently she was vice president/general manager of WFFT-TV, in Fort Wayne , Ind. Prior to that, Hamilton was vice president/general manager of WQRF-TV, in Rockford , Ill.

Previously, she was with Sullivan Broadcasting's WUTV-TV, in Buffalo , NY , where she held several sales management positions including general sales manager. Hamilton 's initial sales positions were with WUHF-TV, the Fox affiliate in Rochester , NY , and in local cable sales with both Times Mirror and Time Warner.

"Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo/Battle Creek is a terrific market and WXMI has built a great operation staffed by talented people," said Hamilton . "I am thrilled to be joining Tribune Broadcasting and one of the finest Fox affiliates in the country."
