Tribune Interactive Names Donna Stokley
Managing Director of Sales
Oversees national sales for Tribune Interactive and
Tribune Media Net
CHICAGO, January 10, 2005 --
Tribune Interactive, a division of Tribune
Company (NYSE: TRB), today announced that sales executive
Donna Stokley has been named managing director/interactive
sales, effective immediately. Stokley will oversee the
national interactive sales team, products and strategies,
including multimedia sales opportunities throughout Tribune
Company. She will be the lead liaison between Tribune Interactive
and Tribune Media Net, the company’s national sales
organization.
"Donna's leadership and interactive sales
management experience make her a great fit for this position,"
said Brigid Kenney, Tribune Interactive general manager and
chief financial officer. "She brings great tenure within
the medium and we look forward to her help in exploring even
more creative online advertising solutions for marketers."
Previously, Stokley was director/advertising
sales, Western region, for Tribune Interactive national
sales and director/advertising for latimes.com local sales,
positions she was appointed to in June 2000. She oversaw
a national sales team across the Tribune network of websites
in the Western region and manages all local sales efforts
for latimes.com, the Los Angeles Times’ website.
From 1998 to 2000, Stokley was latimes.com director/online
advertising, overseeing all aspects of sales, sales development
and ad operations.

Prior to joining latimes.com, Stokley worked as a major
account executive at the Los Angeles Times consumer electronics,
wireless and drug stores print accounts, from 1993 to 1997.
She joined the Times in 1990 and sold the Times Direct mail
product from 1990 to 1993. Early in her career, Stokley was
a sales manager for Targeted Coverage Inc., a solo and shared
mail company in Glendora, Calif., from 1988 to 1990.
A native of Baltimore, Stokley received
a bachelor’s
degree in marketing from Eastern Illinois University. She
is a board member of the New Media Federation of the Newspaper
Association of America.
