Tribune Broadcasting Names General Manager at KTXL-TV/Sacramento

Station Plans Expansion of News Programming

CHICAGO Apr. 3, 2008 -- Tribune Broadcasting today named Robert (Bob) Ramsey
as vice president/general manager at KTXL-TV, Sacramento, responsible for all aspects
of the station, effective immediately. Ramsey previously served in the same capacity at
Tribune’s San Diego television station, KSWB-TV.

The company also announced plans to expand local news programming at KTXL (an
affiliate of the Fox television network) into other parts of the day.

"Sacramento is a great market," said Ramsey. "I’m excited to lead a talented team and a
great station in KTXL. In addition, now I can reveal something I had to keep under wraps
when I was the GM in San Diego -- I’m a huge fan of ‘American Idol’!"

Ramsey served as vice president/general manager at KSWB for six years, beginning in
February 2002. Prior to that, he served as station manager at WGN-TV, Chicago. He
joined WGN in 1998 as director of programming. He started his career as a sports anchor in Terra Haute, Indiana, in 1980.

"Long ago, Bob made the decision to leave sports reporting for a more stable career in
television management, and we’re really glad he did," said Ed Wilson, Tribune
Broadcasting’s president. "He’s the right guy to shake things up in the Sacramento
market and transform KTXL into a local broadcasting powerhouse."

Ramsey was persuaded to assume his new duties at KTXL only after being assured that
the beaches in the market were every bit as nice as those in San Diego.
