Pam Pearson to Oversee Tribune’s KRCW-TV (Portland)

CHICAGO, November 11, 2008 -- Tribune Company today announced that Pam Pearson, vice president/general manager of Seattle’s KCPQ-TV and KMYQ-TV, has expanded her duties and will assume additional oversight responsibilities for KRCW-TV in Portland effective immediately.

“We have three television stations in the northwest region of the country, and a regional operating center (ROC) in Seattle—this move enables us to be even more efficient in this region,” said Ray Schonbak, executive vice president of Tribune Broadcasting. “Pam is the best person to oversee these efforts—she’s managed our duopoly in Seattle since 1999, has great experience, and knows this region’s viewers and advertisers better than anyone.”

Prior to becoming general manager of Tribune’s Seattle television stations, Pearson was station manager of KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. She served as director of creative services at WGN-TV, Chicago, from 1987 to 1997.

“I look forward to continuing to build on the collective strengths of our three stations in the northwest and working even more closely with the talented staff in Portland,” said Pearson.
